Grok Bot connects to apps through plugins you add from Connect apps in the sidebar, including Gmail, Google Calendar and Drive, Notion, Slack, GitHub, Outlook, 1Password and X. When a service has no connector, a Bot can still use its website through the Bot’s own browser. xAI recommends a connector when there is one, because it’s more reliable than clicking through a site.
How connectors work
- Add one: open Connect apps (or follow an in-chat Connect card), find the app, choose Add, and sign in in your browser.
- Use one: type
@in the composer to attach an app to a task. - Connectors are account-wide. A connected app is available to every Bot you run.
- Your logins stay off the Bot’s computer. OAuth tokens are held on Cursor’s connector backend, and the Bot uses tools without seeing them.
- They can’t raise your access. An app can only do what the connected account can already do in that service.
- “Added” isn’t “signed in”. If a Bot says an app is missing, open it and choose Authenticate.
Connectors we could confirm
Email, calendar and files
- Gmail: search and read mail, draft and send, apply labels. One mailbox at a time.
- Google Calendar: read calendars, create and update events, check free time, respond to invites.
- Google Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides: find, read and edit files the account can access.
- Outlook: email drafts you review and send, plus bulk archive, move and flag.
- OneDrive and SharePoint: file uploads, and SharePoint team connections (see the known issue below).
- Bot email address: not a connector to your mail. It gives a Bot its own address that it can receive mail at.
Work and notes
- Notion: can connect a second account.
- Slack: posts as the Slack user you connected. Separately, Team Bots can have their own Slack app.
- Figma and Canva: can show their app as an interactive card in the chat.
- Glean: asks for your Glean MCP URL.
- Salesforce: shows each of its servers as a separate row.
- Zoho CRM: choose your data center before signing in.
- QuickBooks Online.
- Stripe.
- Zoom: listed, but authorization currently fails with error 4700, and Cursor says there’s no workaround yet.
Code
- GitHub (built in), plus repo access for GitLab, Bitbucket and Azure DevOps.
- Vercel.
Logins and money
- 1Password: Bots sign in with logins you approve in 1Password, and never see the values. Personal and Family accounts, 1Password 8.12.42 or later.
- X Money and Stripe Link: for checkout, with an approval card.
X
- X plugin: your DMs, bookmarks, home timeline and who liked your posts. Cursor notes it needs X API credits on your X developer account. Bots can search and read public X without it.
Your own servers
- Custom MCP servers: you can add your own. A server on a private Tailscale network isn’t reachable yet, and Grok Bot suggests exposing it with Tailscale Funnel.
Event triggers (separate from connectors)
Routines can start from events, which you set up through your Cursor account’s integrations:
- A Slack message or a GitHub notification
- A Microsoft Teams message, a Linear issue, a Sentry alert or a PagerDuty incident
- A webhook with its own URL and key
xAI’s advice: write a narrow matching rule. Avoid “every new message”, which creates noise and uses up your usage.
Not available (as of October 25, 2026)

Connect apps with least privilege
Because every connector is shared by all your Bots on one computer:
- Connect only what a job needs. Disconnect Gmail, for example, if a Bot shouldn’t touch that mailbox.
- Use the narrowest account you can, such as a shared inbox instead of your main one.
- Keep sends, deletes, purchases and publishing behind approval with Ask first rules.
- Never paste passwords or API keys into chat. Use the secure secret request or 1Password.
- On a team? Your admin can block apps. Blocked apps show Disabled by team admin.
Our free setup checklist lesson covers these defaults.
Known issues
- Zoom: error 4700 during authorization. No workaround yet.
- SharePoint: Application-level admin consent fails with AADSTS50011. Connect with Delegated permissions instead.
- Company Google accounts: your admin may need to mark the app named “Grok” as Trusted in the Google Admin console.
More fixes are in Grok Bot errors explained.
Related bots from the library
- Inbox Triage and Email Bot: email Bots that draft but don’t send without you.
- Google Agent: reads your mail, files and events, and asks before it sends, deletes or moves anything.
- Projects Manager: gives each project its own Notion row.
- figma bro: designs in Figma.
- X Brief: connects X and flags what’s happening in your area.
- PR Reviewer: reviews pull requests, starting with what can break.

FAQ
What are Grok connectors?
They’re plugins that give your Bots a structured way to use services like Gmail, Notion, Slack and GitHub. You add them from Connect apps in the Grok Bot sidebar.
Can every Bot use my connected apps?
Yes. Connected apps are account-wide. A teammate’s Team Bot asks before it uses your accounts.
Can I connect two Gmail accounts?
No. Gmail connects one mailbox at a time. Some apps, like Notion, can connect a second account.
What if the app I need isn’t listed?
The Bot can use the website in its browser, or you can add a custom MCP server. Some sites block automation or need you to sign in yourself.
Does Grok Bot see my passwords?
No, not for connectors. OAuth tokens stay on Cursor’s connector backend. For website logins, you take over the computer or use 1Password, and the Bot doesn’t see the password.
