Not officially, as of October 25, 2026. xAI’s Grok Bot docs and changelog don’t list a Telegram connector, plugin or chat channel, so there’s no official way to message your Bots from Telegram. What you can use are the Grok Bot apps, Slack (for Team Bots), tagging @bot on X, and your Bot’s own email address.
Why people search for this
Two different things share the name, so it’s easy to mix them up:
- Grok Bot is xAI’s product for always-on AI teammates. Each one works on a cloud computer and talks to you in the Grok Bot app.
- Grok on Telegram is the Grok chatbot inside Telegram. Telegram lists a verified @GrokAI bot described as “Grok 3 is xAI’s frontier language model. Now available for free to all Telegram Premium subscribers!” That’s a chat assistant. It isn’t your Grok Bot, and it can’t run your Bots, routines or connectors.
So if you want to chat with Grok in Telegram, @GrokAI is the one Telegram marks as verified. If you want your own Bots to take work from Telegram, that isn’t supported yet.
Where you can talk to your Bots today
These are the channels xAI documents:
| Where | What it does | Who it’s for |
|---|---|---|
| Grok Bot desktop app (macOS, Windows, Linux) | Full app: chat, computer view, routines, settings | Everyone with access |
| Grok Bot mobile app (iPhone, iPad, Android) | Same Bots and threads, synced with desktop | Everyone with access |
| Slack | Team Bots get their own Slack app. Teammates DM them or @mention them in channels | Teams |
| Tag @bot on X | Tag @bot in a post or reply and your main Bot takes it as a task | Most regions (not yet the UK, EU, Australia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway) |
| Your Bot’s email address | Bots can claim their own address and receive mail there. Routines can read that inbox | Where your team allows Agent email |
Workarounds, and their limits
If you really need Telegram in the loop, be careful:
- Forward to your Bot’s email. If your Telegram app or another tool can forward a message to an email address, a routine that reads your Bot’s inbox can pick it up. That’s built from official parts, but it isn’t a Telegram integration and replies won’t go back to Telegram.
- Webhook routines. Grok Bot routines can start from a webhook with their own URL and key. A small relay you run yourself could post Telegram messages to that webhook. You’d be building and securing that relay, and you need to keep the webhook key private.
- Community bridges. We haven’t reviewed any Telegram bridge for Grok Bot, so we can’t recommend one. Any bridge needs a Telegram bot token, which works like a password.
Watch out for fake “Grok” bots
Telegram has plenty of bots using the Grok name. A few rules keep you safe:
- Never send logins, cards or codes to a Telegram bot claiming to be Grok Bot. Grok Bot asks for sign-ins through its own app, with a takeover or a secure form.
- Don’t buy “Grok Bot access” from a reseller. xAI’s pricing page says subscriptions are only sold directly, and accounts bought elsewhere may be suspended.
- Check a Bot template before you add it. A shared Bot’s link opens a preview on x.ai. Read what it does and which apps it wants before you choose Add. Our guide on installing templates safely shows you how.

FAQ

No. As of October 25, 2026, xAI’s Grok Bot docs and changelog don’t mention Telegram. The verified @GrokAI bot on Telegram is the Grok chatbot, not Grok Bot.
What is @GrokAI on Telegram?
Telegram lists it as a verified bot offering Grok 3, free for Telegram Premium subscribers. It’s a chat assistant and doesn’t connect to your Grok Bot account.
Can I control my Bots from my phone instead?
Yes. Grok Bot has iPhone, iPad and Android apps, and your Bots and conversations sync with desktop.
Will Telegram support come later?
xAI hasn’t announced it. We watch the official changelog and update this page when anything changes. See also what’s new in Grok Bot.
What about Discord?
