One small real task, like summarising a document or researching a question.
Most bad results come from vague requests. A good brief has five parts. Use it for every task in this course and your bots will get noticeably better.
Steps
Outcome
Say what “done” looks like in one sentence. “A one-page comparison of three email tools for a two-person shop”, not “look into email tools”.
Sources
Say where to look and what to trust. “Use each tool’s own pricing page, checked today. Link every price.”
Constraints
Say what not to do. “Don’t sign up for anything. Don’t contact anyone. Under 400 words.”
Deliverable
Say the format and where it goes. “A table in this chat, then save it as a Page.”

Review point
Say where the bot stops for you. “Show me the draft before saving or sharing anything.” This is what makes the task zero-risk.
Copy-paste prompt
Paste this to your bot. Replace anything in [brackets].
Copy-paste prompt
Here is a task in five parts.
Outcome: [what done looks like]
Sources: [where to look, what to trust]
Constraints: [what not to do, length, budget]
Deliverable: [format and where it goes]
Review point: stop and show me before you send, post, buy, delete or share anything.
Before you start, repeat the brief back in two lines and ask me one question if anything is unclear.
Check it worked
The bot repeated your brief back correctly before starting.
It stopped at the review point and nothing was sent or shared.
The result matched the deliverable you asked for.
Common mistakes
Leaving out the review point. That’s the step that keeps a task zero-risk.
Asking for “everything about X”. Narrow outcomes give better work.
