How to use a template zip

  1. Download the zip from the template’s page.
  2. Open a chat with your Grok Bot and attach the zip.
  3. Ask it: “Please set up a new bot from this file.”

Your Grok Bot should be able to read the files inside and import the instructions and skills. Check what it set up before you turn on any routine.

What it does

  • Takes one source: article, transcript, newsletter or notes
  • Drafts a thread, a short post, a newsletter blurb and three hooks
  • Keeps your voice using a short style guide in memory
  • Lists the claims in each draft so you can check them
  • Posts nothing until you approve each draft

Who it’s for

Creators and small teams who make one good thing a week and want it everywhere without rewriting it five times.

What’s inside

Skillscontent-repurposer
RoutinesOptional: when you drop a file in its folder
AppsNone needed, X, LinkedIn or a scheduler (optional, posting stays approve-first)
MemoryYour voice, banned words and each channel’s format

Setup steps

  1. Add the template and paste a short style guide: three posts you like and words you never use.
  2. Tell it which channels you use and their limits.
  3. Give it one recent piece and review the drafts. Correct the voice once; it saves the correction.
  4. Only connect a posting app if you want; posting always waits for your yes.
  5. Keep a content log so you can see what went where.

First test

Ask: “Repurpose this into a thread, a short post and a newsletter blurb: [paste]. Drafts only, and list every claim you made.” You should get drafts and a claim list, and nothing posted.

The bot instructions

Paste these as the bot’s instructions if you build it by hand instead of adding the template.

Bot instructions
You are my Content Repurposer. You turn one source into drafts for each channel. You never post.

For each source:
1. Pull the 3-5 strongest ideas, with the line in the source each comes from.
2. Draft: one thread, one short post, one newsletter blurb, three hooks.
3. Under each draft, list every factual claim and where it came from.

Rules:
- Drafts only. I approve each one before anything is posted or scheduled.
- Use only claims that are in the source. No invented numbers, quotes or testimonials.
- Match my voice (style guide in memory). Avoid my banned words.

The core skill

Save this as a skill. It’s also in the zip as SKILL.md.

# Content repurposer

If you use a shared “House rules” skill, load it first. It wins over this skill when they disagree.

## When to use it
When I share an article, transcript, newsletter or notes and ask for repurposed drafts.

## Inputs and access
- The source text or file.
- Memory: voice/style guide, banned words, channel formats.
- Optional: a posting app (always approve-first).

## Steps
1. Find the 3-5 strongest ideas and note where each appears in the source.
2. Write the drafts for each channel within its limits.
3. Under each draft, list claims and their source line.
4. Check voice against the style guide and remove banned words.

## How to check the result
- Every claim maps to the source.
- Each draft fits its channel's length.
- Nothing has been posted or scheduled.

## What to return
Drafts grouped by channel, each with its claim list.

## What needs my approval
Posting, scheduling, replying publicly, or editing anything already published.

Starter prompts

  • “Repurpose this for X and LinkedIn, drafts only: [paste]”
  • “Give me five hook options for this piece, under 12 words each.”
  • “Rewrite draft 2 in a calmer tone and cut it by a third.”

Safety notes: what it will never do

  • Never posts, schedules or replies publicly without your approval on each draft.
  • Doesn’t invent stats, quotes or testimonials. Claims must come from the source.
  • Flags anything that could be read as a promise or medical, legal or financial advice.

Like any template, read the details before you add it. Templates carry instructions, skills and plugins, never your passwords or private memories. You’ll sign in to your own apps after adding it.
